IN HONOUR OF NEIL ARMSTRONG

There are many tributes now appearing in the media about Neil Armstrong who died this past weekend of complications arising from heart surgery.

Since this is a storytelling blog, there is a storytelling video about Neil and the moon landing that you may not have seen. It is definitely worth checking out.

The storyteller is Jay O'Callahan on the best professional storytellers now writing and performing in the United States. Jay was commissioned to create and tell a story that commemorated NASA's 50 years in space exploration. Jay's now famous story is called 'Forged In The Stars'. He has told this story all over the world and at many of the NASA sites in the United States. The audience response to Jay's story is overwhelmingly positive.

There is a brief ten minute segment within the story in which Jay dramatizes the moon landing by Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. It is powerful watching and even a more powerful telling performance by Jay.

Here is how to find this story on the internet.

Go to Jay's website, www.ocallahan.com. In the top banner, click on Forged In The Stars. Several videos will appear. Click on the top one which is captioned 'watch an excerpt of Forged In The Stars'.

While you are on Jay's site, check out his other storytelling videos. This a Master Storyteller at work and you will become a fan, just as I have.  I am The Storyteller who curates the blog,  Peterborough Storytellers Tales and Tips.
